30 days of celebration.

For those of you that know me, you are quite aware that I am fast approaching a bit of a monumental birthday.  Not only is the number a milestone, it also happens to be my GOLDEN birthday.  As my birthday is the last day of the month (September 30th), I'll let you figure out my age.

Anyway, be that as it may, I very much felt the need to "elevate" the celebration.  So when I was deep in though a few days back, it came to me: 30 days of celebration.  I shall do something (big or small) each day for the 30 days of September to celebrate life--exactly where I am at this very moment.  I cannot tell you exactly what this looks like, but I am determined to follow-through and find a way to celebrate in some way.  I am going to attempt to document this and just for fun, I will also share one of my favorite verses with each day.

So if you are reading, thanks for joining me on this journey and here goes nothing...

Day 1

What better way to kick off the 30 days of celebration than by moving into a new place?!  On September 1st, I did just that.  I moved into a real house, with a real driveway, a real yard, a real mailbox...you get the idea.  I don't have pictures of the actual move, but thank the Lord I had some wonderful help from my dear friend, Meagan.  The two of us took the bull by the horns and moved everything on our own.  We strapped those mattresses on the roof of her car and never looked back.  Here are some shots of the new digs.

"Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." James 1:17

Day 2

The accoutrements for the second day of celebration came courtesy of Michelle who supplied a gorgeous bouquet of roses and a little bubbly to toast the new place.  Flowers and champagne certainly scream celebration to me, so day 2 was covered.  Cheers to two days of life celebration!

"You have made known to me the path of life.  In your presence, there is fullness of joy.  In your right hand, there are pleasures forever." Psalm 16:11
