TDOC: the 14th & 15th day

I have officially made it to the halfway point in my 30 days of celebration, and if I'm honest, I will be kind of sad when it is over. It has been fun to find something or some way to celebrate a little bit each day, and while some of these might seem like a stretch, they have at least reminded me that life is worthy of celebration. (And to that end, I have also really enjoyed sharing some of my favorite scriptures at the end of each post.)

Day 14

I failed to take an i-phone pic, but I celebrated day 14 by taking a long overdue yoga class. I left work early (gasp) and hurried across town to make it to the 6pm hatha yoga class. It was, by no means, an intense workout, but it was exactly what I needed. I enjoyed every minute of it and it was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday month.

"You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:13

Day 15

To celebrate the halfway point, I decided to have my first experience at Pearl Cup. I have heard rave reviews about their coffee, and thought TDOC was a great excuse to splurge on a non-chain coffee beverage.

Not only did it come highly recommended from trusted friends, it is also ranked by D Magazine as one of the best coffeehouses in Dallas. I got my usual (doppio over ice) and headed outside to enjoy my espresso drink on their patio. The weather was pleasant, so I camped out for a while, reading and enjoying some decent people watching. Day 15: check!

"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails."
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
